Results, updated table and the run-in

With Balham having a weekend off, there were still fixtures this weekend, with an unsurprising victory for Ashford and another defeat for Mitcham, this time against league leaders Farnham.

Ashford Town 6:1 Walton & Hersham

Mitcham Park Stripes 2:3 Farnham Town

Sheen 4:2 Carshalton

The impact of these results is as follows, with plenty to play for in the final few weeks of the season. Balham remain in fourth - with a continual improvement throughout the season evident.

The remaining matches in the season have some interesting fixtures, and our final match against Sutton Common has the potential to be an absolutely critical fixture in deciding our final position. Ashford look strong favourites to end up division winners, with Farnham well placed to finish second. If all clubs secure the same Points Per Game (PPG) as they have to date, Balham would end up fifth. However, Sutton have to play Ashford twice, as do Mitcham Park who also have the return fixture against Farnham. All to play for!
