Back to work in friendly win

Balham 2 Hampton & Richmond 0

ree

There will be no full match report or MOTM today, just a short recognition of a well deserved friendly victory. Stats have been updated on the other tabs. With our London Cup opponents fofeiting the game, a friendly was arranged against Hampton & Richmond. Our opponents are a division above us, so a good test before League action next week.

The Whites ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Jude and Dylan. In the first half, the boys passed the ball around well and looked very composed on the ball. For the last 20 minutes of the half, the opposition played with 10 men due to an injury but the Whites were definitely the superior side. Jacob played for the opposition outfield in the second half to even the numbers up. The boys took their feet off the pedal in the second half, lacking the same energy and commitment of the first.

Balham will need to show the energy of the first half to keep up their unbeaten League record against Moor Mead next week. Our hosts lost a League match today against Reigate so they will be keen to find some form. That result means that Reigate currently top the League, two points ahead of us, but with two more matches played.
